0 thou, my soul, come bless the Lord

And be his holy name adored.

Yea bless the Lord, my inmost soul,

Whose benefits do make thee whole.

He pardons thine iniquities

And heals thee from all dire disease.

Thy life, redeemed from death's dark snare,

He covers with his loving care.

His gifts so satisfy thy days

That thou art young in eagle ways.

The Lord is righteous in his deeds,

brings justice to the broken reeds.

He taught the mighty Moses too,

Showed Israel what the Lord could do.

The Lord is mercy, love and grace,

Long-suff'ring and of constant face.

He will not chide thee in this clime

Or nurse his anger for all time.

He has not punished all our greeds,

Requited us for our misdeeds.

To those who fear him comes God's love

In measure high as heav'n above.

Transgressions he has put away

As far as east from west each day.

Compassion is God's mark indeed;

So fathers meet their children's need.

He knows without a doubt our frame,

Remembers that from dust we came.

The days of man are like the grass;

They blossom like the flowers that pass.

The wind blows and they fly away,

Unknown, unspoken to this day.

And yet the Lord's love fails not those

Who fear him always; and he does

Remember children's children and the rest

Who keep all his commandments best.

God has in heav'n his throne prepared

And over all his rule declared.

Bless ye the Lord, his angels fair,

Who do his bidding everywhere.

Bless ye the Lord, ye hosts of men,

Ye ministers who please him then.

Bless the Lord, all created things,

Wherever his dominion rings

Bless ye the Lord, my soul, this day;

Adore his holy name alway.
